Victory isn’t a destination for the believer—it’s a daily walk. It’s not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ’s power in the midst of it. Sometimes we wait for a perfect day to feel victorious, but Scripture reminds us that victory has already been given, not earned.
Let’s consider Joshua and the battle of Jericho (Joshua 6). God promised the city to Israel before a single brick fell. The victory was declared before the walls came down, and their part was simply to walk in obedience—step after step, day after day, in faith. Their shout didn’t make the walls fall; their obedience to God’s instruction did.
