The Road to the Cross

"Then he said to them all: ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.’"- Scripture: Luke 9:23

Following Jesus is not always easy. It requires sacrifice, obedience, and complete trust in God’s will. When Jesus spoke about taking up the cross, He wasn’t referring to a one-time decision but a daily commitment. The road to the cross is a journey of dying to self—letting go of our own desires, ambitions, and comforts to fully embrace God’s purpose for our lives.

At times, this road feels difficult. It may mean choosing forgiveness over resentment, humility over pride, or faith over fear. But Jesus assures us that when we surrender to Him, we find true life (Matthew 16:25). Just as He walked the road to Calvary out of love for us, we, too, are called to follow in His footsteps with love and devotion.
