The Power of a Secret Place

We see the power of a secret place in the life of Daniel (Daniel 6). Even when a decree was issued forbidding prayer, Daniel remained faithful. Three times a day, he went to his upper room, knelt by the window facing Jerusalem, and prayed — just as he had always done. Daniel’s secret place was his lifeline, his source of courage and peace. And when trials came, the strength he gained there sustained him.
