Imagine a classroom of children watching how their teacher handles conflict. One child pushes another during playtime. The teacher calmly approaches, kneels to eye level, speaks gently, and guides them in kindness and reconciliation. The children begin to imitate her tone and response—not because she shouted, but because she consistently modeled grace and wisdom.
That’s what Jesus did for us.
In Philippians 2:5, we’re called to have the same mindset as Christ Jesus—a mind that chooses humility over pride, service over status, obedience over entitlement, and love over self. Jesus, though fully God, did not cling to His rights. Instead, He emptied Himself, became a servant, and walked in total surrender to the Father’s will.
