Reflection: Jesus Before Pilate

"Jesus answered, 'My kingdom is not of this world... Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.'" (John 18:36-37)

Standing trial before Pilate, falsely accused and facing death, Jesus didn’t defend Himself with outrage or fear. Instead, He calmly declared a higher truth: His kingdom was not of this world. He knew who He was. He knew His purpose. He stood in truth even when it was uncomfortable, even when it would cost Him everything.

This moment reminds us that truth isn't always popular. Like Jesus, we may face misunderstanding or judgment for standing by God’s word, values, and our purpose. In a world filled with compromise, staying anchored in the truth of God’s kingdom is our calling.
