When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished.’ Then He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.” – John 19:30 (ESV)
On Good Friday, we remember the most profound and painful moment in history—when Jesus willingly bore the weight of humanity’s sin and cried out, “It is finished.” These three words weren’t a cry of defeat, but a declaration of victory.
Jesus had fulfilled the purpose for which He came. From the Garden of Eden to Calvary’s hill, the long-awaited promise of redemption had finally been completed. The price for our sin was paid in full. No more sacrifices. No more separation. The veil was torn. Access to God was restored.
