“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.” — Matthew 28:6 (NIV)
That early morning, as Mary Magdalene and the other Mary approached the tomb, their hearts were heavy. They expected to mourn. But instead, they encountered an empty grave and an angelic proclamation that changed the course of history.
“He is not here; He has risen!” These words broke the silence of fear, shattered the chains of death, and revived the hope of every believer.
The resurrection of Jesus isn’t just an event to remember—it’s a truth to live by. It means that dead things can live again, that what was impossible is now possible, and that hope always has the final word.
When we face defeat, despair, or discouragement, we can return to that empty tomb and remember: Jesus got up, and so can we.
