Years ago, a young man named Samuel gave his life to Christ at a revival service. The transformation was immediate—his joy was contagious, his hunger for the Word intense. But as the months passed, he began to struggle with guilt over past sins, fear of failure, and doubt about whether he was truly changing. One day his mentor said, “Samuel, don’t just receive grace—grow in it. Let grace raise you.”
That simple statement shifted his perspective. He stopped striving for perfection and started trusting the process. That’s what growing in grace means.
2 Peter 3:18 reminds us that grace is not just the starting point of faith—it’s the soil we grow in. It's the daily empowerment of the Holy Spirit that shapes our minds, softens our hearts, and helps us become more like Jesus. We don’t grow in grace by trying harder, but by yielding deeper—by abiding in Christ and trusting His love to transform us over time.
