Patience isn’t just about waiting—it’s about how we wait. It’s about trusting God when the answers are delayed, when the doors aren’t opening, or when the healing hasn't come. In a world of instant results, God invites us into the slow work of maturity.
Consider the story of Abraham and Sarah. God gave them a promise: a child in their old age. But they had to wait—years—to see that promise fulfilled. Along the way, their faith was tested, mistakes were made, and doubts crept in. Yet God remained faithful. And through the waiting, Abraham became the father of faith, not because he waited perfectly, but because he didn’t give up on God.
James 1:4 reminds us that patience is part of our spiritual development. It forms character, deepens our faith, and makes us complete in Christ. Cultivating patience means surrendering our timeline and choosing to trust in God’s perfect plan, even when it feels uncomfortable.
