There’s something powerful about knowing that your life isn’t random. As believers, we often face moments that feel confusing, painful, or even disappointing. Yet, Romans 8:28 reminds us that every part of our story—both joy and struggle—is being woven into a divine purpose.
Joseph’s journey in Genesis illustrates this truth. Betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and imprisoned—his life seemed like one misstep after another. But in the end, he rose to power in Egypt and saved nations from famine. He could say to his brothers in Genesis 50:20, “What you meant for evil, God meant for good.” Joseph’s life wasn’t just preserved; it was purposed.
We may not always see it, but God is writing a masterpiece with the pieces of our lives. His calling is not just about our careers, but our character. His purpose isn’t always about what we do, but who we’re becoming.
